First Grade Music Concert

Kirsten had her first grade music concert where she got to hold the USA poster and play a special piece on the Xylophone.  After the concert we told her how proud we are of her and that she played wonderfully...she proceeded to tell us "it was easy, I only have to play 3 notes D, D, C, over and over again".  LOL, well we thought that was impressive!

Gymnastics Photos

The girls decided to pause their Dance lessons for Gymnastics lessons this year.  However, like dance, they have the girls get dressed-up for photos.  We are still awaiting the professional ones to be completed, but I wanted post the ones I took at home.  Introducing... the next Dream Team!  ;)

Annual Daddy and Daughters Dance

Gordon took the girls to the annual Daddy & Daughter's Dance and they loved it!  This was their second year going so they knew what to expected and were super excited.  I spent the afternoon getting them ready by curling their hair and applying a little makeup.  Gordon looked handsome as ever with his princesses as they went to the Dance!

Alexa brought hime this touching picture from school.  When I asked her what prompted her to draw a picture of her Daddy and me, she replied that she was asked to draw what love meant to her.  She continued to explain that Mommy and Daddy love each other so much and she loves us.  I LOVE it!

New Year's Eve Party!!

This year the Guthrie Family celebrated New Year's Eve at our house with our closest friends and neighbors.  We had a blast!!  The party started at 7:30pm and lasted until well after midnight.  Time went by so fast, it was apparent we were having fun!  That's what happens when we're in good company!

This year was our 7th annual family New Year's Eve Party.  However, this year we invited some of our closest friends and neighbors to celebrate with us!  Below are some of the family photos we didn't include in the slide show but wanted to remember forever!

The girls helped me make 6lbs of meatballs for the party.  They were such a big help and did an excellent job!

Christmas 2016

We had another wonderful Christmas in Iowa!  My parents, Steve and Lynn, came in from Las Vegas to spend the weekend with us and we had a great time.  My Mom came in on Thursday night, then we spent all of Friday completing lady duties like grocery shopping, going to Costco, and getting a manicure and pedicure!  My Dad arrived on Friday night, then we enjoyed a nice meal at Bonefish Grill.  Christmas Eve was a fabulous day and night with good food, movies, games, and opening presents.  Christmas morning we watched the kids open their gifts from Santa and then had a yummy brunch before unwrapping the last of our gifts to each other.  Aside from a jaunt to the ER to confirm the health of my Pops, we had a fun and relaxing weekend.  No worries, my Dad will be okay--thank God!!  He had a diverticulitis attack :(   Oh, and we can't forget going to the movies to see Sing!!  Great movie!

Drake's 11th Birthday!

We had a great day with Drake on his birthday!  We started out with a yummy pizza dinner from Topper's, then had a cake that Drake made all by himself...it was sooooo good!!  We also bowled, played board games, and opened presents.

Thanksgiving in Minocqua

It was another nice trip up North to Wisconsin for Thanksgiving!  Not only did we have amazing food, but we played in the snow, the boys went hunting, we played lots of games, snuggled with Toby, and went on our annual trip to see Santa at Ace Hardware.
