Mother's Day Tea

I had the honor of joining Kirsten at her school for Mother's Day tea.  It was a very special moment for the two of us...when I arrived she was anxiously waiting for me at her little table and waved vigorously for me to come towards her.  The children sang us two songs and followed it with a nice blessing before we enjoyed tea and cupcakes.  Kirsten also gave me a handmade card and little plant.  I'm so blessed!

Drake's First Communion

Drake completed his First Communion on Sunday, May 4th.  He was diligent about completing his studies, learning the appropriate songs, and even practiced how to hold his hands when accepting the Body of Christ from the priest.  We are so proud of him!

Easter 2014

Easter was a sunny and bright beautiful day in Iowa for us this year.  The girls colored eggs for the first time and LOVED it (just check out those big smiles)!  They were meticulous with how their eggs were dipped into the coloring and cautious when holding them to add stickers and designs.  We only had one fumble when Gordon dropped one of Kirsten's, but she didn't mind.  We received Easter baskets from Meme (my Mom) and Nana & Papa (Gordon's parents), which were thoughtful and fun to open!!

Tumbling Tots

The girls successfully completed another season of Tumbling Tots.  This was Kirsten's second year and Alexa's first - both girls did a great job.  I'm a proud Mommy!!

St. Patty's Day 2014

This year Gordon and I decided to celebrate St. Patrick's Day at our local Irish establishment.  Gordon even dressed the part by wearing a traditional kilt.  We had a great time and several patrons came up to us to inquire about Gordon's authentic threads!
