Easter Egg Hunt...outdoors!!

This year's Easter egg hunt was pretty special...why you ask?  Because it was held OUTSIDE!!!  This is a first in the Guthrie household.  Living in the Midwest means you have unpredictable weather and usually it's too chilly outside to hide the eggs.  However, this year it was perfect...well, maybe not "perfect", but it was good enough to go outdoors and find the eggs!  As a girl growing up in Las Vegas, this was the norm for me but Gordon was used to hiding/finding them inside...so it was a happy day when we got to switch it up for Easter 2015!

Shopping and Selfies

It was a special Saturday because Gordon took his girls downtown to the East Village for some shopping!  While walking around, I took a selfie with these little ladies!

The wheels on the bus go round-and-round...

Kirsten had a car parade at school and she could choose any car to be...so she chose a school bus! It was a team effort, Gordon spray painted the sides while Kirsten and I made and cut out all the accessories.  She was very proud of her transportation!

Alexa's first haircut!!

We've talked about getting Miss Alexa a haircut for a few months now, so the exciting day came a few weeks ago.  She was so confident, calm and collected during the entire process.  She owned it!  :)

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter from the Guthrie Girls

People think that our girls are twins because they are so close in height and weight.  This was especially true when they chose to wear the same dresses and jackets for Easter this year.  <3 p="" these="" two="">

Giggles and Barbies

I heard two little girls laughing and laughing in the family room the other day.  It was such a delight to hear!  Upon closer inspection, I found Kirsten and Alexa playing barbies and having a great time.  I loved hearing their giggles and seeing their care free smiles!

Pictures of Mommy

While going through Alexa's drawings from school, I came across this bunny and woman.  Alexa immediately let me know, "that's Mommy"!  I pulled out the last picture Alexa "drew" of me (the puppy) and laid them next to each other.  I'm quite flattered that Alexa thinks of me often enough to name her creations after me!

It's Wells Fargo Night!

It was Wells Fargo night at the Energy basketball game, so we got $25 tickets near center court for $5.  It was the first live basketball game any of the kids had been to and the "energy" was exciting!!  Everyone had a great time!

My Girls

I have a collection of one-off photos I've taken of the girls these past few weeks, so I thought I'd post them with a few captions to describe the photos underneath!

Meme sent the girls a card to say "I love you" with stickers and temporary tattoos!

It was pajama day for Kirsten at school, so she wore her cow PJs!
It was "What do you want to be when you grow up" day in Alexa's classroom. So, she dressed up like Mommy because that's what she wants to be! :)

Kirsten got to dress up like Princess Sophia at school, so she put on the dress her Godmother Tiffany gave her 3 years ago. Still fits!!

March Madness time!  Get your brackets in order :)  Gordon sure did, he won $440!!
