Spring Break 2012

 We had a wonderful time with the kids this year for Spring Break!  The weather was beautiful, so we spent a lot of time outside.  We even had a water fight with squirt guns!!  At the tail end of the week, the family took a car ride to Minneapolis to visit a Water park and to go to Nickelodeon Universe.  Everyone had so much fun!!

This picture was too cute to not post! Miss Alexa is getting BOTH of her bottom teeth at the same time... poor baby is super happy, then super cranky. I'm sure she will be back to her smiling self in no time!

Pickles!

We headed up to Northern Wisconsin a few weeks ago and stayed with Gordon's parents, Jackie and Steve.

The kids were being silly, so I snapped a few photos. Drake would say "pickles" each time I said smile and throw his hands in the air. This always made Kirsten laugh!

While the kiddos were playing, I caught Kirsten playing/torturing Alexa by sticking her fingers into her cheeks. However, Alexa didn't seem to mind!

Alexa Tries Rice Cereal

Miss Alexa tried rice cereal for the first time last Saturday. It was a success, she LOVED it!

As expected, Alexa got it all over her face, but she was cute as can be--and a happy baby!

Her big sister, Kirsten, was cheering her on in the background. Saying things like "mmm, yummy" or "open wide". It was adorable and Alexa listened very well... and she was hungry, so that helped too!

Santa came to Iowa!

Since we spent Christmas in Las Vegas, we had to leave all of our gifts back home in Iowa... More gift opening?? The kids loved it! Kirsten is still asking to open more presents, I have to explain to her that Christmas is over, but I'm not sure if she gets it :)

I swear Kirsten is excited, but Mommy has forced her to "smile" way too much lately for pictures... this was her best attempt at letting me take her photo. At least her eyes are open! She received this princess dress and crown from her Godmother Tiffany. Kirsten proceeded to wear this outfit for the rest of gift opening!

Christmas in Las Vegas 2011

Gordon and I decided to travel back to Las Vegas with the girls for Christmas 2011. We had a such a great time enjoying ourselves with friends and family.

Our first night back, my Mom made a delicious meal for us and we spent time talking and catching up. The next day, Gordon and I went shopping and ended the evening with dinner at our friend's house. Friday was an exciting day, we went to the UNLV basketball game with my Dad while my Mom watched Kirsten and Alexa. Then Gordon and I had date night! Saturday was Christmas Eve; my Mom had a party at her house and we spent time with friends and loved ones. Kirsten was super excited about getting 3 "Dora" DVDs and a princess doll from one of my best friends Danielle. Sunday morning, Santa came with small gifts we could pack into our suitcases! :)

I loved every minute of it and I was sad to leave everyone... but we will be back soon!!!
