Bridges of Madison County

Iowa is known for several things like corn, pigs, and the Bridges of Madison County!  Gordon's parents are recently retired and decided to travel south to visit us in Iowa.  We had planned to stay around the house and enjoy yard games outside.  However, a cold and rainy spell came through and we decided to take a day-trip to the Bridges!  We were able to see three of them, all located in different parts of Madison County, and all built around the 1850s.

My Baby Graduated From Kindergarten!

And just like that, Alexa is off to 1st grade!  She had an amazing teacher, Miss Reed, who loved her very much.  We are so proud of Alexa and can't wait to see what the future holds for her!

     

Girl's Spring Soccer Season

 The girls first soccer season was a success!  Gordon and I really enjoyed watching them play and seeing a competitive streak come out in them, especially Alexa!  Wow, she can really run fast and plays hard.  Kirsten is methodical and is learning the positions and technique of the game.  Both girls were assets to their teams and want to continue to play in the future!
